When a G2DAF amplifier amplifier is tested for IMD by applying a two-tone
signal, the screen potential remains constant. If no grid current flows
during the test, the tube is operating in Class AB1. Typical test
results is a total IMD that is quite acceptable. However, during SSB
voice modulation, the screen potential fluctuates widely and the IMD
