The ceramic base Svetlanas have higher output C and usually only 3 tubes
will let you tune 10M. The bakelite base versions are fine.
I have had no problems with new Chinese tubes the past few years....I
think most of the junk brands have died off.
BTW, I am looking for a matched brand pair of USA 811A's for my Clegg
Zeus. Even slightly RF soft tubes will be OK since they will be used as
AM modulators. I'm just trying to make it look original. The 811's...not
the A version...that were in it when I bought it worked fairly decent
even with holes in the plates.
