For Bill and others who make be interested, the formula
for finding the D.C. voltage rating for A.C. Rated caps. is:

2 X sq. root of 2 X A.C. voltage rating = D.C. voltage rating.

I find this easier to remember than 2.828 X A.C. rating.

IOW, a cap rated at 1500 vac can be used in a circuit up to
4200 vdc safely.
