Question: Has anybody seen any documentation on how electrolytics
perform in a strong rf field? I know that as a decoupler at rf the
usual power supply type is pretty "bum". What about an amplifier which
has insufficient screening between the rf tank and the electrolytic
bank. Many published designs like that. Does this create an extra
form of ripple current in the caps? If so maybe that is why some hams
have problems with caps? Also the placing of electrolytics in close
proximity of the hot tubes surely can't be good engineering?

Some thoughts to ponder on.
