It depends on how you define efficiency, because of the feed through power.
The effects of feed through power are dependent on the gain of the amp - the
higher the gain, the less the effect. I always figure something around 50 to
55% DC plate input to RF output, bearing in mind the inaccuracies in making
the measurements - 5% on plate current, 5% on plate voltage, and at least 5%
on RF power. It's also somewhat dependent on whether you're running single
tone or two tone or three tone or what.
