Ameritron sells any of their parts. The choke used in the AL-1500, etc
works well on all 9 bands. Dahl lists a few big ones but not sure about
WARC's.

The GDO is a big help. Witout getting into another forever thread, start
with the info in the ARRL Handbook. The final test is in-circuit since
layout can have a pronounced effect.
Copying the old B&W 802 is fine if you have a thread cutting lathe and
access to 3/4" diameter glass filled Teflon rod. It will work well at 2A
PEP but probably not a RTTY contest. Set the lathe for 41 TPI and a
winding length of exactly 4.5" of # 26 high temp coated wire.
With patience there are many other combinations that will work. Drake
used a choke that had a 47pf cap across a portion of it, works fine even
with a pair of 3CX1200A7's in a 9 band L-4 conversion.
