Educational Institution, eh?
Hmmmm....
I work as part of the technical support group for Ottawa-Carleton
District School Board (Ottawa, Canada). Part of the job is service and
repairs down to and including component level on just about every type
of equipment you can imagine... haven't had a laser...., yet.
I don't know if the 3D22A is good or not... never tried to test it.
I'm open to ideas of any kind and If I don't hear from you I'll check
