Well, this may be true, but my input circuits are not at the cathode
pins. What I do have though are series RC networks from cathode pins to
ground. Perhaps the 4-1K wants to see some capacitance to ground on the
filament pins in order to be stable. What you did or what I did
accomplishes it.
