I've just been trying to order some Jackson Bros hardware.
The hardware I was enquiring about was 6:1 epicyclic
ball reduction drive, shaft bushes, and 0.25" shaft extenders.
The parts are for the front panel dial construction of my
4CX1000A project.
News is that Jackson Bros stopped trading last November
and only a small fraction of the stock (stand off insulators I
was told) is being retained for low volume trade.
Is homebrewing linears a dying art? No way ! Setbacks like
this - a loss of classic components - just brings out the
ruthless back-to-real-basics homebrewer in me.
73's and thanks for this goldmine of knowledge
