Get the 6A10 from Mouser and others. 92 cents at Mouser, 1000PIV @ 6A.
400A surge rating and not even a step start is needed.
The 1N5408 is 1000PIV @ 3A and is about 22 cents.
Some overpriced blocks are nothing more than "selected" microwave oven
parts.
