However, the max. rated screen potential for a 6146B is 250v. A stock
TS-830s operates the screens at c. 260v max. on SSB and slightly less on
CW. The ''high power mod''. increases the screen potential, which
sometimes results in kaputsville screen-arcing. .As I understand it, the
''high power mod'' is popular with CBers. P out apparently increases
about 30w, unless the screens arc.
