[AMPS] revisited duty cycle...

Hi Rich - 

on second thoughts there are two possibilities why this could happen, no make 
that 3.


1.      The ht sags less during ssb than full key down.
2.      The inertia of the meter is a bit low, allowing slight overshoot on 
speech peaks.
3.      The diodes across the meter rectify the audio and add to the normal dc 
derived
current?

Anyway IMHO speech processors should only be used by hams who understand them!  
That is
sure to get some new topic going.
