Hello,
I have come across what appears to be a QSK adapter
for HF linear amplifiers. I have never seen this
product before, so thought I would ask. The product
is known as a 'QSK-1500' from an outfit in Ohio that I
guess is out of business. Looks to be a full
breakin switch box for generic linear amplifiers.
The unit is a 2 piece setup. One box appears to be
high voltage 500V and low voltage 12V? power supply.
The second unit is a sloped cabinet with the following
connections:
RCA PLUGS -- AMP RELAY IN/OUT
RCA PLUGS -- CW KEYER POS IN/OUT
PL259 PLUGS -- RADIO IN/OUT
PL259 PLUGS -- AMP IN/OUT
The unit says it will handle 1500W PEP with 2:1 VSWR
load.
Ok, now the questions:
Any good?
Price/Value?
Any comparable items out there?
Thinking about using this with my ALS-600 or my AL-80
amplifier. Really need QSK capability amp, cant
afford new amps right now.
