[AMPS] Dentron Equipment Cabinet Refinishing

Not a very technical subject I know but, I'd like some advice from those of 
you who have refinished the cabinet of your Dentron (and really liked the 
outcome). Did you use black paint (flat, semi-gloss enamel) or black lacquer 
and, did you use a primer first?
