Hi John,
A local guy just got rid of one for $700. I was too late. At that price
I'd have been happy to produce 600 watts! I don't neccessarily need a
kilowatt, but if I find one in my price class I'll take it. I wasn't aware
they would make that much power with such low drive. That is why I started
this thread. It is amazing to me how many times I've actually watched
myself buy things based on the "comfort" of a product I know, rather than
researching fully all the options. Until a few weeks ago, I had never
actually noticed that Dentron had made anything for VHF.
Thanks for the info, Bob N1UJS

Hi Bob;
I just hit the send button by mistake, so ignore the
preceeding empty message. I just sold my Henry 2002A.
It uses a 3CX800A7 and I found that I could drive it
to 800W output with my DEM xvtr 20-25W. Best I ever
got was 950W, but the point is that it drives easy.
I picked mine up used for 1000.00 and sold it a
year later for the same amount. In that time frame,
I racked up about 110 EME completions for 33
countries and 100 new grids using 19.5dBd of antenna.
Do consider the Henry 2002A.
