Hi Peter,

I always thought the above was strictly true until just recently. I have
been working with my YC156 project off and on for a while now and have been
looking hard at the required anode load. After making a number of
measurements, it appears that for maximum power transfer at a given grid
drive / anode voltage, the tube wants to see quite a bit of reactance.
Since I have been concentrating on just getting the damn thing finished, I
have not tried to take hard data and attach numbers to it yet. If I get
time, I'll go back and look at it closer, but I am curious to know if
anyone else has seen this.
