Further to Dave's (K1FK) comments, Litz wire available over here always used to
have a number of strands that were in powers of 3, so you had 3, 9, 27, 81 etc
strands. This was so it could be braided to run each conductor from inside to
outside of the cable in a repeatable manner. 'Bunched conductors' was just
that, although often loosely refered to as 'Litz'. On occasion, I've found
bunched conductors useful up to about 4MHz, especially with iron dust pot cores
and Q's of around 300.
