My backup amp is an Ameritron AL-811H. I use it on 115 volt service and it 
appears to do well putting out 450 - 600 watts 10-160. My question, would it 
be to my advantage to wire for 230 service....easy to do..All things being 
equal, line length and gauge of wire. Curious if I would see the rated 800 
watts PEP and I do understand the difference between 450-600 watts verses 800 
watts...........It's just a mind game here.
Also when it comes time to replace the 811A's ....any advantage of the 572B's 
over the 811A's other than being a tougher tube.
