Jose,

I would recommend 'Single Sideband Principals and Circuits', by Pappenfus,
Bruene and Schoenike, published by McGraw Hill in 1964. Library of Congress card
number 63-13938. It has the advantage of being tube based to a greater extent
than the later books.

Another book of similar age is Radio Transmitters by, I believe, W. Brown. If
not Brown, then it was V. Stokes. Published in about 1964-5 by Peter Peregrinus
for the IEE in London, in the Marconi Series. It tends to be aimed at high power
- 5kW upwards - but is interesting, especially some of his parasitic suppressors
for use at 250kW.

Both of these won't be easy to get, but may be available through your national
library system. They sometimes appear in second hand specialist book shops -
certainly, if I ever come across another copy of Pappenfus, I'll buy it so that
it can go to someone wanting to learn.

And if anyone comes 'Techniques of Radio Design' by Zepler or 'Radio Receiver
Design' by Sturley, I'm in the market.......
