I believe the original question regarding series tuned tank had to do with
the eventual construction of an amp. using a pair of 813s.
Several years (decades) ago W4MB wrote an article in Ham Radio describing
the design decisions he made and construction of his amp., a pair of 813s.
He used a small series inductor between the RF plate choke and the tank
circuit to negate the tubes' output capacitance. This allowed the tank
tune capacitor to resonate the tank circuit on 10 meters.
