I agree Janne. 

But are there not rules that kick a guy out of a contest or even DXCC if he
not runs legal power or behaves badly?? You have to stick to your countries
laws and QROOO is not legal, of course. And it is bad sport as well to
compete in a contest using illegal power.

But soon we will have another problem as the new FT 1000MP5 will be popular.
If a guy is driving a clean, say, 8877 amp, he will reduce, hopefully, his
output level on the mark 5 and run the rig in class A. At that level the
distorsion levels are way down according to the YAESU ads and together with
the low distorsion of the 8877 will produce very  very little splatter into
the nearby channels. And  splatter guys will come much closer and cover your
frequency because they cannot hear you. Maybe the wellknown contester/DX-er
that, after a great number of beers, admitted he takes out his ALC- cable
during contests to get some elbow space?
