Sorry, but none of that says anything about IMD.

RSGB handbook editors tend to favour whatever was more recently
published in the monthly magazine. It implies no technical judgement
whatever. (The 813 design was DC-grounded screen... better practice?)

Reproducibility and common use go together, but they still say nothing
about IMD.
