John Lyles recently suggested Proline Metal Fabricators as a source of
chassis stuff. Since I was about ready to start a 1.5 kw 6 meter amp I gave
them an email. I had been planning on using one of the Bud Rack Pak kits
going for a rackmount 10.5 high by 17 in deep enclosure.
My email was answered in two hours (which is really fast). The rep figured
out what I was doing from the individual parts I asked about and suggested I
just get the complete kit for a 10.5 high by 20 inch deep enclosure complete
with perforated covers, handles, and hardware. At $205 it's just a bit more
than the Bud, plus, it would have the nifty iridite finish.
Since they can machine, I may see how much it would run me to have
rectangular holes punched to backmount the meters.
This place seems like a real winner and should be checked out by anybody
looking for those type of enclosures.
