I can't vouch for one tube brand or another, but I had six cetrons and six
of other brands and all six of the cetrons the plate caps came loose. none
of the others gave me any trouble that way. It seems the plate caps should
be able to stand a little stress. If you look at the ceramic caps in common
use they take a fair amount of stress to get them off the tube, so the plate
caps have to be very securely glued on. I will not buy any more cetrons
because of my past experiences with them. This is just one ham's opinion.
Incidently, those cetrons were supposedly Mil- Spec tubes. carl / kz5ca
