I've had dozens, many admittedly self-induced whilst developing and testing
protection circuitry. On the basis of personal experience together with
what I've heard and read over the years, my guess is that the statement
"Anode/screen flashovers are fairly rare" is not -- to coin a phrase -- a
good bet.
