EVERYTHING in CA hurts your wallet!

? The 8171 delivers more suds, is instant-on, and draws 0W on standby.

The YC-156 requires no socket, no screen supply, cannot be over driven
by any rice box, thus no need for alc. Amplification factor is 200. That old
power supply that was used for a 4-1000A is just perfect for this tube.
Life is full of trade-offs....builder's call.
The YC-156 is a little larger than a 4-1000A, and equal to 5 of them in
parallel.
MRI pulls are appearing on the market now...about the same price as 8877 pulls.
