Gentlemen,

I wonder if anyone might be able to advise.

I have had in my possession for quite some time a TY6-800 (AKA TB5-2500)
tube manufactured by Mullard which I would like some advice on.

I would very much like to know if it is possible to put this beast into
amateur service (SSB and CW) on the HF/6m bands. It may be the case that
someone out there has already utilised one of these tubes - or even could
advise that it is completely unsuitable for this type of usage!

If anyone can help I'd be very grateful.

Thanks,

Phil Smeaton
