thanks to all who have responded to my question on amplifier control ckts.
I am not really all that familiar with most newer amps, only older stuff,
such as heathkit amps. I don't have access to much info on newer amps and
haven't had the opportunity to repair any of them either. It appears from
the responses I've gotten that maybe some of the mfrs. have figured out that
"reverse control" might be the better way to go.at least the amp would be
ready to go before the rf signal gets there, therefore eliminating
hotswitching. thanks to all for updating me a little bit. It's still fun to
learn!!!!
