Just a note TNX to all who helped me out on my problem.
Have HV Power Supply working fine now. Turned out to
be voltage doubler circuit and HV Meter working OK as well.
The operating report a follows:
2 Meter Single 3CX800A7 Built from ARRL Handbook.
Power Supply VAC In: 120 VAC
Plate Voltage: 2200 VDC loaded down to 1800 VDC Full Output
Plate Current :right at 500 ma
Power input: @ 20 watts input
Power output :500 watts measured on a 400 - 1000 MHz Bird 43 500 watt element
( inaccurate ??? )
Grid Current: only 25 ma full output
Grid Tuning extremely touchy !!!
Plate Tuning very smooth
Tube runs cool even at 500 ma !!!
