Since the subject of roller inductors has come up I have a question to add. I
am thinking of switching my old B&W tank circuit for a nice, big gates roller
inductor (4-1000 amp). What is the best way of initially figuring out the
tune up for each band? Are there any hard and fast rules to follow or is it
trial and error? I am sure I can get close but how do I know if it is set for
the proper Q and has enough harmonic suppression without a spectrum analyzer?
Thanks!
Jim
