Marconi Applied Technology makes the former EEV (English Electric
Valve) power tubes. They have a nice website now with tech notes for
power tubes. They are still in business it seems, although the tube
company is for sale from the mother company which is in terrible
financial shape, last I looked at their stock.
Esp interesting is the note QUALITY BUILT INTO RF TUBES, which has a
photo of an opened 4CX15000A. Also HOW TO OBTAIN THE BEST LIFE FROM
VALVES is a really good one. Just check the TECH NOTES section on
