Sounds correct. The 3 pin varieties came in two current capacities; 15A and
5A. Both were unfused. The two pin receptacles were, as you suspected, for
low current lighting applications. Frequently they ended up being used in
christmas tree like configurations, cludged together with large numbers of
adaptors.... Shudder. I just took it for granted that HK had always been
13A equipped. I dont recall seeing any old style fittings on my recent
trips, even in the back streets ...
