Thanks go to all who replied to my question regarding the weight of these
transformers..
>From the responses i received there seems to be all varieties out there
>ranging from 100lbs to 450lbs with voltages ranging from 3200v to 8400v..
The winding wire varies from thick round to square to flat strap..
Purchase price varied from "in the heat of the night" to a hundred dollars to a
"six-pack and take"
Really it boils down that no particular type was hunted but grab what is there
at the time and hope for the thing to be right when it got home
I received 37 responses via email direct as well as that shown on the net so
all around it was a very interesting discussion
