Well, I'm comparing the new 3CX1500D7 with the 8877 -- and it seems
that Eimac would probably rather announce this tube in the context of a
replacement for a pair of 3-500Z's.
The name "3CX1500" could apply to *any* triode that has 1500W anode
From the descriptions - uses a filament, has a 3-500Z type base - this
new tube reads much more like a 3CX1200 with a beefed-up anode.
