On a similar theme, I have an old Heathkit ATU which has broken porcelain insulators on the variable caps. I wonder if I can glue the parts together? What type of glue should I use? Failing that is there another material I could easily make replacements with? I plan to use this ATU with my Drake L7 so it would need to withstand that kind of power. Any thoughts/recommendations greatly appreciated!

My YL has a ceramics business, and I started thinking about trying to manufacture my own ceramic (porcelain) insulators. Has anyone tried this?
