I'm considering buying a Mark V and wonder if I will have problems using
it with my AL-1500 amplifier. The AL-1500 instructions caution that some radios "put out short duration high power RF pulses when first keyed." This could lead to tripping of the grid current protection circuit in the AL-1500. Has anyone found that the Mark V produces such pulses when adjusted to produce power output in the range of 50 to 65 watts? I would also like to know peoples' experiences in operating the Mark V and AL-1500 together. Tnx and 73 - Dick, W3OA
