I have posted to the above URL detailed pictures of a home-brew 1kw amp that
an engineer of Collins in Iowa built in 1960. There is a QST article here.
I got the power supplies and PA all mounted in an original Collins rack and I
would like to resurrect the station, I already have the Collins S-Line station
that drove this AMP working and it all fired right up and just worked, which
says allot for his equipment and Collins. Partial schematics are available. It
was working for his last contact in his log book in 1984.
I'm looking for some OT amp guy to resurrect it, which I'm willing to pay for.
If anybody on the list knows of someone to do this, please contact me. I'm in
Quincy, IL in route back to Austin with the equipment in my van and I could
stop along the way.
