Steve, this was an joke - I was thinking about tubes I have used, and still 
using after years, like 3CX1200, 3CX3000 and 4CX3000, anyway, my shack will be 
dark enough due to mains voltage drop - but - instead of auroras, I prefer to 
follow my Bird wattmeter :-D

        I've seen the blue glow through (or in?) the ceramic of 4CX250s,
8122s, 8874s, etc.  Look in a dark room...-WB2WIK/6
