I detect corona with a micro-ampere meter. How do real high potential
testers manage to get a microphone inside vacuum capacitors and vacuum
relays?

However, Peter, the issue at hand is arcing in the Henry 2K Classic X.
Considering the shape of the conductors involved, the distance and the
potentials at hand, micalex insulation should not be breaking down. My
guess is that the cause of the breakdown was neither a DC or a HF
potential.
