R depends on tube type, Frank, 50Ω is about right for an 8877.

True, Frank, but 1600J is not that difficult to find a suitable glitch R for. Globar's SP series is what you need.

Thanks, Rich. I figured from their catalogue that I'd need an 888SP model with a R value of 50 Ohm. Correct?
