Bob,

I have installed the following Peter Dahl xfmr into one of my SB-220
amplifiers.
Although it has different voltage/power ratings it has the same physical
dimensions
as the Peter Dahl xfmrs you refer to in your e-mail:

**************************************************************
DRAKE L4B-1200A7
SPECIAL FOR 3CX1200A7 MODIFICATION
CORE) A-0393/ C-CORE STYLE #) 10 HIPERSIL C-CORE
PR) 117/234 VAC 60 HZ HI-LO TAPS

S1) 0-1300-1400-1500 VAC @ 0.7A CCS

DM) HT = 6.000 WT = 6.325 DT = 6.281 MD = 3.625 MW = 4.000
PRICE) $250.00 Plus S&H FOB El Paso, TX WEIGHT) 23 LBS
**************************************************************

It went in o.k. but the top of the xfmr is about 1/8" too high, the
perforated sheet metal
that is screwed down on top of the amplifier now shows a slight bulge over
the xfmr area...
I have had no problems electrically or mechanically with this "interference
fit". Other than this
slight issue it went in with plenty of room around the sides.

Good luck,

Marc (WC1X, M0VOA, 4Z8BB)
