There's an interesting article on a 1500 watt Class E amp in the latest QEX.
Looking at it, the thing is that by the time you've got the mechanics done
(including a fearsome output transformer with silver (hard) soldered bits
and pieces) and the vacuum variables for tuning, it's about as big as a tube
amplifier covering all the HF bands.......
