If the transformer is a 50 Hz and not a 60 Hz with a 220 Vac line, you have a
better transformer than a 60 Hz and no need to upgrade. If it's for some Asian
countries export though, the line voltage may be different. A 50 Hz will work
at 60 Hz, but not a 60 Hz at 50 Hz. The 50 Hz will also have more iron in it.
