Get yourself a couple of retired medical instruments called 
"hemostats" and/or "needle-drivers".  I've got some small, short 
ones, and some really long ones.  I can reach wayyy down into the 
innards of an amp and retrieve such parts.

Such things are good for glass tubes, to help cool the glass-to-metal 
seal.  Compared to the the 3-500z, the 4cx800a's anode connector 
already has a MONSTER finned heat sink, doesn't it?!  All you need is 
an electrical connection, really... and plenty of cooling air through 
the anode cooler.
