There is another way.

Check any recent ARRL handbook in the section about amplifier design. 
You can create a simple L network with the addition of one small coil 
between the anode and the input to the pi network and that will solve 
the problem. I used that technique when modifying a Heath SB-1000 for 
six meters so I could use the original tuning and loading capacitors. 
Works like a charm.
