I used to use carbon tet as a water displacement agent when I washed down my 
care engine engines to get the water out of ignition distributors.
Fwiw, we are not too far from the day when the younger generation will ask: 
"Distributor??  What's that? my car has these teensy thins on each spark 
plug."
