Molly W0MOM of Alpha explained that the CB lockout feature is already a fact in
the
microprocessor controlled 87A. She related a story at the W9DXCC meeting of
an person who bought an 87 and complained that it would not work on the low end
of 10 meters.
After several telephone conversations, it became apparent that the customer
was
attempting to use it below 28.0 in the 11 meter region. She simply told him
that
it was deliberately programmed not to work there. The new 9500 has the same
lockout feature programmed in.
