Hello Ampsters -

After having my trusty MLA2500 self destruct last month while on VP5 a
friend and I decided it was a good time to rebuild much of the amp and
incorporate the various mods that are floating around. One of the
things that we've been trying to add is a grid trip circuit, but not
having much luck. Can someone point us in the right direction as to
where this is supposed to be hooked in the circuit? We know the trip
circuit works as we can trip it by putting a battery across it, but
we've have had zero luck getting it to trip when actually connected to
the amp.

We incorporated a step start, put the swamping resistor back in, diode
protected the multi-meter (the original went up in flames during self
destruct mode), build a WW2R solid state time/rectifier board (and found
a couple of errors in his instructions along the way), junked the ALC
board, moved the cathode choke to just under the tube sockets and
replaced the HV caps and bleeders. After the meltdown, much of the
smaller things were replaced too.

Any other suggestions that might help bullet proof this little guy?
Especially where to insert the grid trip circuit in order to make it
work.
