I'm retired now but since 1953 to 1994 I had the chance to work in all branch
of electronic, using Eimac tubes off all sort (4-250,
4-1000A, 3-500Z, 3-1000Z, 4cx250, 4cx350, 4cx1000, up to 4cx15000) and I did
not heard any 3x3 or else. I worked with Motorola, Canadair, Texas Instruments,
and a costal station (Monaco 3AC). To qualify this terminologie of CB jargon is
very kind, because for me a 3-500Z is a 3-500Z and nothing else!!!
