I think Amperex (Covimag) is the only manufacturer that is now making
4-1000A tubes. Eimac sold that line off to Triton but they could get them
right and quit making them. However, there are some gassy Triton ones
floating around. Most of the 4-1000A tubes you see now days are from
estates. Pulls were a great in the old days when the legal limit was 1000
watts plate input power, they could be too weak for a broadcast station but
still good for ham use. But, how when you are expecting 1500 watts output
in class B service, well over 2000 watts plate input power, pulls may not
be a good choice.
New ones run a bit under 1k$ each.
